friday the 13th

I always loved it when my birthday was on fridays--but alas--its tuesday and I am now 23.  Today was really great at work--I did a whole bunch of sketching (they sketch a whole lot) and I have a few renderings due tomorrow but it is very low key/stress.  The whole studio went out to eat today as a welcome lunch for me (they didn't know it was my birthday--but it was great to go out with them).  It is amazing how used to german I am now--not that I understand any of it--its just that I am good at zoning it out as ambient noise.  They are a really funny group and it is amazing how similar industrial designers are (the ones that I know).  About half of them can carry a conversation in english and the others just squint there eyes in confusion If I get talking too fast, but I don't think communication will be a problem.  

Pierre asked if I wanted to go out for my birthday but as all of you know, im not big in the social scene and would rather just stay in a read a book/sleep.  I think I am finally at the age where a birthday is just another day and if no one reminds you, you would forget it all together.  So, thanks to all of you who reminded me!!!!
